Workshop on the Optimal Use Policy of Information Technology Resources

In reference to the directives of the esteemed Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, the Information Technology Center / University Website Department held a workshop on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the Department of Computer Engineering. The workshop was aimed at IT department heads from the scientific departments and website coordinators across the university formations.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Director of the Information Technology Center, L. Ali Abdul Razzaq Tarsh, who praised the role of the scientific departments’ coordinators and centers in developing and enriching the digital content of their respective divisions. The presenters, Asst.L. Zaid Samir Mahdi, Head of the University Websites Department, and L. Idris Alaa Jassem, discussed the threats targeting this category and the measures to preserve data.

Additionally, the workshop covered the implementation of the University President’s Circular No. M.M.A / 6, dated February 5, 2025, which includes the “Optimal Use Policy for Information Technology Resources.” The discussion also focused on educating their institutions and personnel on securing accounts and protecting official data. At the end of the workshop, the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their suggestions.
