The President of the University of Technology Receives Huawei Academy Representative and Congratulates the First Faculty Member on Earning the International Trainer Certificate

The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, received the representative of the Huawei Telecommunications Academy, Ms. Rand Amer, the Public Relations Manager at the company. She expressed her sincere gratitude for the collaboration with the University of Technology in developing the information and communications sector.

The Huawei representative praised the achievements of the University of Technology in the field of telecommunications and information technology, particularly under the exceptional and unparalleled leadership of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, which has placed the university’s name at the forefront of scientific and engineering forums in the Arab, Asian, and global arenas.

In a new accomplishment reflecting academic and technical excellence, Huawei honored the University of Technology for its efforts in supporting and developing the information and communications technology sector in Iraq, as well as strengthening the academic partnership with major global companies. The university has continuously worked to implement the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research towards digital transformation, developing technical skills, and keeping up with the latest technological developments.

During the meeting, Assistant Lecturer Muthna Ali Kazem was also honored for obtaining the Certified Instructor certificate from Huawei Academy, making him the first academic within Iraqi universities to achieve this prestigious certification.

This achievement highlights the leading position of the University of Technology and the Information Technology Center in the field of technical training and qualification, opening new horizons for the development of Iraqi academic competencies in the fields of telecommunications and networks.
